ISBN – International Standard Book Number – International Standard Book Number. A universal identification number assigned to a book (brochure) for its international identification.
The purpose of the ISBN is to identify individual books or various non-periodical publications, which is unique for each published book (except for reprints). At the same time, the main advantage of the electronic ISBN is that it does not involve printing and publishing of printed materials with mandatory distribution to libraries in Poland.
1. We offer publishing services from publishing partners in Poland (OECD and EU countries) and Ukraine regarding:
– assignment and verification of electronic ISBNs to your scientific works: monographs, manuals, textbooks, books, non-periodical collections of scientific works, brochures, guidelines, etc;
– providing barcode and QR code of the electronic ISBN in Poland;
– assignment and verification in the Ivan Fedorov Book Chamber of Ukraine with mandatory distribution of printed copies of your scientific works.
2. We offer partnership to higher education institutions, scientific institutions in co-organizing international conferences, international scientific symposia, international forums, international round tables with online publication of collections and assignment of electronic ISBNs of the Polish publishing house.
The authors of the monograph, which will be assigned an ISBN number, will have the opportunity to participate in a scientific work published in a country of the European Union.
This is necessary in accordance with the requirements of the following legislative documents:
● Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1187 “On Approval of the Licensing Conditions for Educational Activities”, clause 28 “…scientific and pedagogical and research workers must have a level of scientific and professional activity, which is certified by the implementation of at least four types and results listed in clause 30 of these Licensing Conditions, including “the availability of a published textbook or manual or monograph”.
● Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 567 “On Approval of the Procedure for Awarding Academic Degrees”, clauses 10, 11 “…doctoral and candidate dissertations may be submitted for defense in the form of a published monograph”.
● Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, clause 11 No. 167 “On Conducting an Experiment on Awarding the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy” of 06.03.2019 “…the main scientific results of the dissertation must be covered in at least three scientific publications, which include: at least one article in periodicals of other states and articles in scientific publications included in the list of scientific professional publications of Ukraine (instead of one article, a monograph or a section of a monograph published in co-authorship may be credited).”
● Procedure for accrual of ECTS credits based on the results of professional training, approved by the Order of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service No. 226-19 dated 12.12.2019, clause 4 “…for the preparation of monographs, civil servants and local government officials are awarded 0.2 ECTS credits.
